The UDI makes arrangements to enable you to return voluntarily or to be repatriated in your home country in a dignified manner.

The aim is that those who return to their home countries successfully re-establish their lives. That is why the UDI offers different return and reintegration programmes.

Duty to leave

If you have received a final rejection to your application for protection and you have no other grounds for residence in Norway, you must leave the country. If you do not return voluntarily, you can be escorted out of the country by the police when the deadline for departure has expired.

Financial support

If you are from Iraq or Afghanistan we offer return and reintegration programmes with special and higher financial assistance. 215 people have returned with the program for Iraqi citizens so far this year.

Most other people who return voluntarily to their home country are offered NOK 10 000 in reintegration support.

Are you from Iraq?

Are you from Afghanistan?
