Remember to renew your residence permit on time
It is your responsibility to make sure that your residence permit is still valid before you leave Norway.

If you do not apply for renewal on time before you leave Norway, you can experience difficulties returning to Norway.
If you have a residence permit in Norway, you must apply for renewal at least one month before it expires. You are to submit your application for renewal to the police where you live. You must also pay a fee.
