Visa holders prevented from departing Norway can have their visas extended free of charge
Persons who are in Norway on a visitor’s visa, and who are not able to leave the country due to the closed air space, can extend their visas free of charge.

It is not possible to extend a visitors visa beyond 90 days. A stay beyond 90 days due to this particular circumstance will not have a negative effect on future applications or departure through the Schengen-area. However, we remind that visa holders are obligated to leave the Schengen area at the first opportunity if the visa has expired
