Web-based dictionaries
The LEXIN dictionaries are the first web-based dictionaries that are made especially for immigrants in Norway. The dictionaries are clearly set out and easy to use, among other things because all information about an entry word is found with the word itself.
In addition to information about word class, inflection and pronunciation, the dictionary includes simple explanations and examples of everyday usage. About 2700 of the entries are illustrated, and the illustrations are divided into 33 picture pages which are arranged according to themes such as "Family and relations", "Time", etc. All the pictures have links to the words they display, making it easy to go back and forth between the pictures and the words.
