In Norway, completed application forms must be submitted to your local police. If you are living in a larger city, you may have to go to a specific police office. Please contact the police for further information.
If you are applying from abroad, application forms must be submitted to the Norwegian embassy or foreign service mission. Their staff will be able to guide you on how to complete the forms.
Application forms can also be sent by post. Please make sure to include all required documentation. If the application generates a fee, you must send the receipt with the application. NB: EU/EEA citizens must submit their applications in person and bring their passport or other identification which was used for entry into Norway.
