If you have been granted a residence permit, and are staying in Norway, you must book an appointment at your local police district to order your residence card (external website). Please note that normally it will take ten days from when you meet at the police until you receive your residence card by post. There can also be a waiting time before you get an appointment with the police. This is important to keep in mind when you are planning any travels.
If you have been granted a residence permit, and need a visa to enter Norway, the embassy which is repsonsible for your application will give you an entry visa. Please note that it varies from country to country how long it takes before you are contacted by the embassy or Visa Application Centre, and get your entry visa to Norway.
