Information for Turkish asylum seekers
Turkish authorities have arrested a lawyer in Türkiye who helped UDI and UNE.
UDI and UNE have received help from a lawyer in Türkiye to check information about some people who have applied for protection (asylum) in Norway. Everyone that this concerns have been notified. The lawyer was arrested in September by Turkish authorities. Turkish authorities may have gotten some information that the lawyer had. If this concerns you, UDI and UNE have already sent you a letter.
UDI and UNE apologise for what has happened and will work for it not to happen again.
