The UDI finishes the arrangement with extra financial support for the travel home if you have a valid travel dokument
Those who have handed in valid travel document when they apply for assisted return have in the last years been given an extra sum of NOK 5000 when they return. This scheme will be closed from 1 February 2018.
If you have already been granted this support, we will pay it to you even if the date you are leaving is after 1 February.
We still recommend that everyone who is going to return hand in a valid travel document (for example a passport) as early as possible. This will make the waiting time until you leave much shorter.
