You wish to extend your stay in Norway.

Have you lived in Norway for more than three years?

  • If you have soon held a residence permit in Norway for three years, you may be eligible to apply for a permanent residence permit.
  • If you are an EU/EEA national and have lived in Norway for at least five years, you may be eligible for permanent right of residence.
  • If you have lived in Norway for at least eight years, or you belong to one of the groups with a shorter residence requirement than eight years, you may be eligible to apply for Norwegian citizenship.
