Regarding the situation in the Middle East

The situation in the Middle East has developed significantly in recent days. UDI is closely monitoring developments. At present, there are no changes in regulations or in the general prioritisation of cases. You will find updated information about the situation in the Middle East on this page.

 

For Iranian nationals who have received a final rejection of their application for residence in Norway, the duty to return is temporarily suspended. The suspension applies for up to three months from 20 January 2026. UDI will, for the time being, refrain from making decisions that would result in return to Iran.
