May I have my entry deadline extended if I already have a residence permit?

If you have been granted a residence permit for family immigration and are unable to travel to Norway within the entry deadline because it is not possible to leave the country where you reside, you may request an extension of the deadline. UDI will normally extend the entry deadline as long as the conditions for the permit are still met. We ask that you do not contact us until you know that you are able to travel. When you are ready to travel, you can contact us by selecting the correct case type here.
If you have been granted another type of residence permit other than family immigration, or if you have other reasons for requesting an extension of the entry deadline to Norway, the information provided here applies.
