Can I receive financial support for moving home to Ukraine?
I have been granted collective protection in Norway
Ukrainians with collective protection in Norway who wish to move back to Ukraine can apply for repatriation.
To be eligible to receive financial support, you must have done the following:
- Applied for financial support for voluntary return.
- Notified the National Population Registry that you are moving.
- Informed UDI about your Norwegian bank account number.
- Received a decision that you will receive support for return from UDI.
I have applied for protection and have yet to receive a decision, or I have received a rejection on my application for protection
At present, there is no general scheme for assisted return to Ukraine. This means that the Norwegian authorities are currently unable to offer assisted return (practical assistance and financial support) for most Ukrainians.
There is a separate return scheme for unaccompanied minors. These returns are handled in cooperation with the police, who ensure the necessary follow-up and arrangements. You can find more information on the assisted return application page.
