Information about assisted return to Ukraine
At present, there is no general scheme for assisted return to Ukraine. This means that the Norwegian authorities are currently unable to facilitate or support return for most Ukrainians.
Exception for unaccompanied minors
For unaccompanied minor asylum seekers (UMAs), return can be carried out with assistance from the police. The police organise the journey and ensure that the child is handed over to a caregiver in Ukraine. You can read more about this below.
If you have already applied for assisted return
If you have applied for assisted return and are waiting for a decision, you must still comply with the departure deadline stated in your decision. If you do not comply with the deadline, you may be issued a decision on expulsion.
UDI is working to find solutions, but at present there is no alternative assisted return scheme for Ukraine beyond what is described here.
