Requirements for the applicant
- You must document your identity. A valid passport is usually valid proof of identity.
- You must not be subject to a prohibition against entry to Norway or Schengen.
- You must be an established part of the reference person's household, which you must have been also before you came to Norway. You must have a close and stable personal connection to the reference person.
- In order for you to have the right to reside on this basis, the immigration authorities must assess whether you may become an unreasonable burden on the welfare system in Norway. We will emphasise whether you are covered by health insurance and whether you are guaranteed support and housing. Other information that may be considered includes age, health and whether you have your own money.
