Limited residence permit


Requirements

  • The police must confirm that you have broken ties with the environment behind the human trafficking. 
  • The police must confirm that you have reported the perpetrators of the human trafficking to the police.
  • The police must confirm that an investigation is underway, or that criminal proceedings have been initiated either against these perpetrators or against perpetrators in another human trafficking case.
  • The police must confirm that the police or the prosecuting authority considers your presence in Norway to be necessary in order to carry out the investigation or criminal proceedings.
  • You must document your identity. A valid passport is usually valid proof of identity. If you do not have a valid national passport or other travel document, you must explain the reason for this.
  • You are not required to pay an application fee. 
  • There is no requirement that you have your own income.

Accompanying children

  • If you are granted a limited residence permit, children applying together with you will be granted a residence permit of the same duration as yours.
  • You are not required to pay an application fee when applying for your child.
  • There is no requirement that you have your own income.
