Some nationals must have a visa to transit through Oslo Airport (OSL), even if they do not leave the airport. This applies when travelling from a country outside the Schengen area to another country outside the Schengen area.
Nationals of the following countries must have an airport transit visa to change planes at Oslo Airport:
- Afghanistan
- Bangladesh
- Democratic Republic of the Congo
- Eritrea
- Ethiopia
- Ghana
- Iran
- Iraq
- Nigeria
- Pakistan
- Somalia
- Sri Lanka
- Syria
- Turkey
If you are a national of one of these countries and do not have a valid Schengen visa, you must apply for a visitor visa before transiting through Oslo Airport.
When you apply, you will be asked to include documentation of your journey. This may include your flight ticket, an explanation of the purpose of your travel, and a visa or residence permit for your destination country or the next country you will be transiting through.
