Family immigration Apostille and legalisation


When you apply for family immigration the documents which you hand in must be certified by the proper authority.

Which country has issued the document?: Vietnam

Requirements for documents from the country you have chosen:

  • The original documents must be legalised by the foreign authority in the country where they are issued. Please contact the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or equivalent in the country where your document was issued to get information about how to get your document legalised.
  • If your documents are in a different language than Norwegian or English, they also have to be translated into Norwegian or English by an authorised/certified translator. It must be stated on the translation who translated the document and when.

When you are handing in documents

  • you must show all the documents in their original form, and your passport.
  • you must also bring copies of all the documents. If you hand in your application to the police in Norway you do not need to have the copies stamped. If you hand in your application abroad, the copies must be stamped by the authorities in your country, or by a notarius publicus.
