When you are creating a new user, or re-setting your password, you will receive an email. This email includes a code which you must copy and paste into the log-in window. The reason for this extra step is to confirm that you have typed in the correct email address.
If you do not receive this email you should check the email spam filter/junk mail folder.
If the email is not in the spam filter, you might have entered the wrong email address when you registered. Please try again and make sure you enter your email address correctly.
You must use the code you receive within a few minutes. After that it will no longer be valid.
Even if you have lost access to your account, UDI still has all your old applications and the information about you registered in our systems.
Information for you who have sent an application
If you have booked an appointment, you still have it. When you booked the appointment, you received a confirmation of the time and date by email, sent from the address firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com. You can search for emails from one of these email addresses in your inbox. You will also find an email with a list of the documents and cover letter that you must take with you to the appointment.
If you cannot find this email, please check the spam filter in your inbox. You can also log in and enter the application to view the date and time of the appointment.
If you encounter problems and you are unable to find the details of your appointment, please contact the place of attendance: the police, the Service Center for Foreign Workers (SUA), the embassy or the VFS Application Centre.
If you have already handed in your application documents to the police or Visa Application Centre, we will process your application as normal. In that case, you do not need to do anything with your user account. If you have Digipost (external website), the decision will be sent to you there, and otherwise, it will be sent to you by regular post.
If you have not yet booked an appointment, you have two choices. You can either contact the meeting place which you chose in the application and ask for an appointment. Or you can create a new user account and send a new application. If you paid a fee for the first application, you must contact the meeting place to get a refund.
Information for you who are going to send a new application
If you are going to fill in and send a new application, you can use another account to which you still have access or create a new account.
If you have received a response to your application and you are going to book an appointment with the police to take a photo for your residence card, you must use the same account as when you registered the application. If you no longer have access to this account, you must contact the police to make an appointment
In the login window, you should always try to click on “Forgotten your password?” and choose a new password, to check if this solves the problem. If your account does not exist anymore, you will get a message which says that there is no account registered with this email address.
There might be different reasons why you have lost access to your account.
