What the employer or client must do to confirm the job offer
- As an employer or client you must submit a form to UDI (external website) to confirm that you have offered a job or assignment to the applicant.
- As an employer or client, you will receive a code consisting of four English words. You must send this code to the applicant who will fill in the application form for a work permit.
- The applicant fills in and submits the application form. In the form, the applicant enters the confirmation code when prompted. The applicant then pays the fee and books an appointment at a VFS application centre to submit all the documents on the checklist.
Both you and your employee (the applicant) must sign the form for a job or assignment offer.
How to get access to submit a confirmation of a job offer on behalf of a company
To submit confirmation of a job offer on behalf of a company, you must either be the person who has rights for the company or have been granted the role as a representative in Altinn.
This is what the company administrator must do to grant access to themselves or another person:
- Log in to Altinn.
- Make sure you are acting on behalf of the company and not as a private individual. You can change this by clicking your name at the top of the page and selecting the correct company.
- If you are using the new version of Altinn, you must switch to the old version. You can do this by clicking “Go to old Altinn” or by going to Access management in the menu and selecting Switch to the old version.
- Select Profile and then Others with rights to the company.
- Click Add new person or company.
- Enter the personal identity number and surname of the person who will represent the company.
- Click Next.
- Click Grant access to individual services.
- Select the form “UDI – confirmation of job offer” (it is easiest to use the search field).
- Click “Add +”.
- Click Continue, then Complete delegation, and confirm.
UDI cannot answer questions about Altinn’s services. If you need further assistance, you must contact Altinn (external website).
