What you must do when filling in and submitting the application form

If you are applying on your own and will submit your application from abroad, your employer or client must first confirm your job offer with UDI.

  1. Your employer or client in Norway submits a form to UDI (external website) to confirm your job or assignment offer.
  2. Your employer or client sends you a code consisting of four English words.
  3. You complete the application form for a work permit. In the form, you must enter the code when prompted.
  4. You pay the fee and submit the application form.
  5. You book an appointment at a Norwegian embassy/consulate, or a VFS application centre, to submit all the documents on your checklist.

Both you and your employer or client must sign the form for a job or assignment offer.
