Is your employee an EU/EEA national?

All EU/EEA nationals are entitled to work in Norway. You can check whether the worker is an EU/EEA national by asking him or her to show you his/her passport or national identity card from his/her home country. You do not need to ask the UDI. 

When you call, you should choose the line regarding employment and studies, whether you have a question about the case of your employee or if you have questions regarding family members of your employee.

The phone is open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3 p.m.. The phone is closed on Wednesday. You can reach us during opening hours at (+47) 23 35 15 00. 

If you call between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. you will, after you have waited for five minutes, be offered the opportunity to leave your phone number so that we can call you back.

You must be authorised in order for us to be able to disclose confidential information about another person.
