If you wish to hand in your application in Nairobi, Addis Ababa, Kampala or Dar es Salaam, you must select the embassy in Nairobi when filling in the application form in the Application Portal.
In Addis Ababa and Dar Es Salaam you don’t have to book an appointment in advance. You can find the opening hours of the Application Center on their website.
In Nairobi and Kampala you must book an appointment in advance. You can book an appointment on the Application Centre’s website.
Your case cannot be moved ahead of the queue although the situation in Sudan can be difficult. You can check whether your case can be moved to the front of the of the queue in our information on prioritizing cases.
If you have already filled out the application form and selected that you want to hand it in in Khartoum, you can still choose to hand it in in Addis Ababa, Nairobi, Dar Es Salaam or Kampala if you wish. It is not necessary to fill in a new application form.
Please remember to bring the cover letter you received by email when you filled out the application form.
If you have handed in your application in Khartoum, and have received an answer to your application, the embassy in Khartoum will contact you to arrange a time for you to pick up your visa.
Before 8 July, applicants from Eritrea were meant to hand in their application in Khartoum. Some people handed in their application in Addis Ababa instead. Some applicants received a rejection because they had handed in their application in the wrong location.
If your application has been rejected because you handed it in in the wrong location, and you have appealed this rejection, we will process your application again.
If you have not received an answer to your application yet, we will process your application as normal. We will not reject it just because you handed it in in the wrong application.
