Change in the requirement to financially support yourself in order to get a permanent residence permit
From 18 April 2024, the requirement that you cannot have received financial assistance under the Social Services Act is lifted. You are still required to have your own income.
The change comes in the wake of UDI's work to identify and propose possible simplifications in the current regulations, with the intention of making the case processing more efficient and achieving more digitisation-friendly regulations.
