What should I do if I have received an advance notice of rejection of an extension of collective protection?

You have the right to respond to the advance notice and provide your explanation as to why you still believe you are entitled to collective protection.

Everyone who has had collective protection has also had an application for protection on an individual basis on hold. Everyone who receives an advance warning has the right to request the resumption of their suspended individual application for protection, within a given deadline. The deadline is stated in the advance warning. The advance warning also states where you should contact to request an application for individual protection.

You must decide whether you want us to assess your protection needs individually. This applies regardless of whether you choose to respond to the advance warning and regardless of whether you believe you should continue to receive collective protection.

If you request re-admission after the deadline has expired, the application for individual protection will be considered a new application.
