You have a different residence permit
If you have a different residence permit in Norway, you will not have your temporary collective protection extended.
You may appeal the decision. The deadline for appealing is 3 weeks.
What happens next?
- you decide whether you want to appeal or not.
- if you appeal, and UDI does not change its decision, we will send your appeal to be reassessed by the Immigration Appeals Board (UNE). You will have the same rights as before until UNE has evaluated your case.
- if you do not appeal, UDI's decision will stand.
- if the rejection ultimately stands, we will assess whether or not you need protection on an individual basis. For practical reasons, you will have to register an application for protection again, even if you already have had an application on hold while you were under collective protection. The National Police Immigration Service (NPIS) will contact you about registering your application. More information is available about the individual assessment of applications for protection.
