Lawyers in asylum cases (the lawyer scheme)

A lawyer is a person responsible for protecting your interests in the application process.

Most asylum seekers are not entitled to a lawyer until their application has been rejected by the UDI.

The lawyer will tell you about the rejection and help you to consider whether to appeal.

A lawyer will be appointed to you free of charge, and if you choose to appeal, the lawyer will be your representative for the duration of the appeal process.

The lawyer scheme

The UDI has a scheme called the lawyer scheme. You will be assigned a lawyer from this scheme.

Below is an overview of which lawyers are part of the lawyer scheme.

You can find contact information for the lawyers at advokatenhjelperdeg.no (external website) and the EU e-Justice Portal (external website).
