Right of appeal


If your request for access, correction or deletion has been rejected, and you believe that the UDI does not process the personal data in the manner required by the regulations, you can appeal to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority or take legal action.

The Norwegian Data Protection Authority checks whether personal data are registered and used in accordance with the SIS Act. If you believe that your personal data have been used in breach of the rules, you can appeal to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority. You can also take legal action if you believe that your personal data have been processed or registered in breach of the regulations. The Courts of Norway website has more information about litigating before the courts (external website).
