With a permanent residence permit or permanent right of residence, you can reside and work in Norway indefinitely. You will also be granted extra protection against expulsion.

If you are uncertain whether you registered yourself or have a residence permit, please check the letter which you received from UDI or the police. You have either received a registration certificate or a decision letter granting you a residence permit.
