You must have a valid residence permit when applying for a permanent residence permit, and you must still meet the requirements of your current permit.
You must have had a total income of at least
NOK 341 373
in the past year. This must be your own income, unless you qualify for an exemption.
All requirements, except for the income requirement, must be met when UDI or the police make a decision in your case. If you do not meet the requirements, you should wait before applying for a permanent residence permit. You can apply to renew your current residence permit until you meet the requirements.
If you have been convicted of a criminal offence or sentenced to compulsory psychiatric treatment or care, you may have to wait longer before being granted permanent residence.
