Due to the corona situation, the UDI has been given several new tasks that we must prioritize, and at the same time, it is the summer holiday season. Because of this, the waiting time has increased for several types of cases this month. Unfortunately, you will not get more information about the waiting time even if you contact us. We apologize for the long waiting time.
The waiting time may change while your application is with the UDI. The indicated waiting time tells you the waiting time for the applications we process now. The waiting time you find on our website is calculated from when you have submitted the documents for the application to the police in Norway or at the application center/embassy abroad. Here you can read what can make the waiting time change and how you can stay up to date on our waiting times.
You will also find information about when the waiting time is calculated from and whether the waiting time can change after you have submitted your application.
Use our case prioritization guide to see if your case can be moved to the front of the queue.
